Hi,

I want to use FLUENT to see the mixing in a two dimensional exhaust air simulation problem in an engine.

How can I model this problem efficiently using FLUENT? What boundary conditions should I set?

How should be the best mesh configuration using GAMBIT?

thank you for your help.

Best Regards,

Zeynep

Hi,

The answers to your questions are quite long. But let me tell you that you can model exhaust-air mixing using the species transport equations in Fluent. There is nothing like best mesh configuration, it depends on the accuracy you require, your project deadline, your computational resources, the turbulence model you choose etc. Dont know the details of your problem but looks fairly easy unless there is going to be reactions..

Kolay gelsin,

Emre
