OVERSET grid
Has Fluent got the possibility of using overset meshes? Can't find anything on the user's guide. Gino

Re: OVERSET grid
There's no OVERSET in Fluent. We've run into the problem where we have some contracted CFD work that was done with an OVERSET grid, and now we can't use it on Fluent.

Re: OVERSET grid
Hi,
The alternative of overset grids is dynamic mesh in Fluent. I dont think overset grids will be employed into Fluent. Up to me, dynamic mesh is better cause as far as I know overset grids do not work with unstructured mesh at the moment and the interpolaton between two grids results in loss of accuracy. On the other hand, the drawback of dynamic mesh is the time consuming remeshing and not having the guaranteed mesh quality. Regards Emre |
