Hello there! I have a question concerning the use of thread_loop_c. I use this function and ( begin...end_c_loop) to loop through the cells of structured mesh. The results indicate that the cell threads are parallel to a specific axis. Say if we use the cell center coordinates to present the cell visited, the sequence is like: (X0, Y0),( X1, Y0),( X2, Y0)…,( Xi, Y0) (X0, Y1),( X1, Y1),( X2, Y1)…,( Xi, Y1) (X0, Yj),( X1,Yj),……………,(Xi,Yj)

My question is how can I change the visiting sequence of cells? What if I want to use the same function to visit cells in X-privileged sequence as follows? (X0, Y0),( X0, Y1),( X0, Y2)…,( X0, Yj) (X1, Y0),( X1, Y1),( X1, Y2)…,( X1, Yj) (Xi, Y0),( Xi,Y1),……………,(Xi,Yj) Can I specify the way the cell threads structured in Fluent? Or is it related to the way I build grid in Gambit?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards

There's no way to alter the order of visitng elements. It depends on your gambit file, how the elements are reported on the file. Luca
