Default Gambit/Iges woes

Hello All, I imported an IGES file that had been cleaned by CADFIX into Gambit, its a box like object, I then proceeded to put a tight fitting volume around it as it is a 2-d flow even though my object is 3d, hoever I could not mesh it, I then realise the exterior face of my object should also form part of the domain volume, so the deleted the solid part of my object leaving behind the lower entities then I attempted to build a domain volume using part of the face of the object, but still got an error message that Gambit can build the volume, any Ideas how I can build the domain volume with the surface of my object part of it ?
