Best solver for Highly Compressible Flow

Hi everyone,

What is the best solver for highly compressible internal flow? I am looking at a supersonic jet exiting from a converging-diverging nozzle?

What is the best CFD package that can handle this?

I am using Fluent, but I am having problems with it, and I am unsure of my results.

I would like to thank Dr. Nandu Menon, and Suman Basu for their extreme help in my research endeavors.

Try S-A model with second order upwind scheme and make the tolerance of convergence monitors tight.

Second order upwind scheme will not work for case where you expect shockwaves because it is not physical.

Try validating your results using experimental data. Works best for cases like these, in case you got some experimetal data. samir
