Hello guys,
GAMBIT : Well, can anyone tell me why my initial edges, created in order to create surfaces, have disapeared after i performed a SUBTRACT command ? The GAMBIT prgm created new edges by his own after this operation ... and this misstate my journal file (*.jou) i created !? Anyone can give me some advices on this one ? Thanks folks, Matt |

It's true, Gambit forgets your original edges and creates new ones in their place, on the subtracted part. The item it's subtracted from does not have this problem. What a hassle.
What problem is this causing? If you need to be able to refer to these edges by name, one workaround is to use loc2ent(,,,) which returns the name of an item based on what item type and the XYZ coordinates of a point on the item. This sort of does what otherwise requires clicking a mouse on it. |

Thanks for your help, but there is no such command as 'retain'. There is keeptarget and keeptool command but they don't seem to work out my problem ..
cheers Matt |
