regarding modelling of chemically reacting flows

Hi sir

i am doing project on modelling of chemically reacting flows in a liquid rocket thrust chamber.i have the following doubts.

1. while solving the problem flow is not following the contour of the divergence portion and reversed flow is occuring at pressure outlet.

2.in material panel density is given as ideal-gas is it work for species transportation.

3.at exit how can i give the exact pressure. i don't know much about fluent.please give the suggetions about solution procedure of the problem.

thank you sir.

Re: regarding modelling of chemically reacting flo

1.There must be some problem with the meshing in the divergent part Check up! This happens when the pressure outside the nozle is more than the inlet pressure. So give correct pressure in inlet. I guess it shd be in the order of 50atm. 2.Ideal gas works only for Pressure far-field boundary condiions or Pressure outlet condition. 3. Try using "outlet boounday condition for outlet.Normally at the exi, it is assumed to be atm pressure!

thank u srivatsan. i am very happy to c ur message. i increased the length of the divergent portion. i will try with outlet boundary condition at outlet. i have one more problem with species transportation.

density, viscosity, conductivity, etc are functions of species composition and temperature. so,what r the options suitable for the properties in the concerned drop down list. ok thank u once again.
