stones 0.055 in porous media

Hello,

I have a big cylinder full with CaCO3 stones of 0.055 m diameter how can i say that to mr. fluent?

You need to come up with proper values for C1 and C2 when you use porous media model in FLUENT. I would check out FLUENT manual ,chapter 6, to see what's their hint on that or use following reference to calculate proper Ergun coefficients

Hi,

a well tested correlation of the loss coeficients based on the open porosity and diameter of packed spheres: is called the Ergun equation. You can find it in many texts like "Unit operations of Chemical Engineering" McCabe, Smith and Harriot.
