about symmetry BC

dear user,

if we use symmetry BC, should we have to double the forces to obtain the total force on the body.

Yes, in Fluent you have to double the force to obtain the total force when using a symmetry condition. The other option is that if you look at the force coefficients instead, use half of the reference area and that will give you a force coefficient for the entire model.
