about axis symmetric cases

hi i want to analyze annular flow in circular channel.i can use axissymmetric case. but how i define axis as it is out of the flow area and only mesh is imported in fluent. i used gambit for preprocessing.

Re: about axis symmetric cases

Your axis of symmetry must be the x-axis.

Re: about axis symmetric cases

hi rgr m8, thanks. i made the x section at required distance(radius) and then meshed it and export . but fluent didnt showed the coordinate system or saying the origin. so i can see that my flow area is above the x axis and not on it. i suppose that the origin is same as in gambit. or every thing will loose its sense.

Yes, the origin is kept the same.

Best regards, ap :)
