Fluent & IC Engines

Does anybody know how efficient Fluent is in simulations of Internal Combustion Engines processes (piston & valve motion, spray, combustion, very turbulent environment), compared to the specialized software like Kiva or Fire?

Re: Fluent & IC Engines

Hi sir, Fluent was totally sux in ICE simulation. In fluent 6.1 u dont hav the spark ignition module and if u wanna do dual fuel simulation, u will have a headache. I suggest u go for AVL Fire. tats really makes yr life easy. i saw the software demo, it was totally impress. unfortunately i dont hav the training manual but i got the "student" verion of the software. if u can find the manual, perhaps we can excahnge :)

regards, Ray
