Fluent 6.2 NITA

Hi,

Has anyone used the non-iterative time advancing NITA scheme in Fluent 6.2 on LES computations? I have tried, the solution diverges after a few time steps each time I use the NITA scheme. The solution does not diverge using the ITA scheme. Any suggestions?

Also, has anyone simulated a simple open channel flow with LES?

Thanks in advance

Steve

NITA sucks. I've tested it for a simple slosh problem (more or less the same tank Fluent used to promote it on its site), but the velocity field had several peaks of magnitude absolutely unreal. The same problem run with non-NITA algorithm gave definitely better results. Edi.

i also observed that NITA diverges with LES, i have switched back to iterative schemes, it takes time but does the work at least.
