Hi,

I want to run fluent from a console. Maybe, you know, if using journals is the only way to do it?

No, It's not the only way. You can use the text command interface.

Just type

fluent 2ddp -gui

you can run like this

fluent 2ddp -g -i aa.jou

where aa.jou is a collection of commands, e.g.

file/read-case-dat ***.cas solve/iterate 100

....
