How can I change my default working directory under WIN-XP in order to more comfortable starting GAMBIT. In deffault settings it automaticaly offers to me 'C:\Documents and Settings\username', but I work in 'D:\username' directory and have to rewrite the absolute path each start of gambit.

Thank for help.

Fool around with windows shortcut properties. If you want to use the gambit icon or whatever on your desktop, right click that icon -> properties -> "Start in" box and put your d:\whatever there.

I know this should work but for me, it doesnt seem to. I still get a different 'working directory' which is many clicks away from where I want to be!

Any more ideas?

Use the command prompt and start gambit from the command line

going to that directory will be little trouble, but one can make a batch file to do that, that cd src_dir and gambit

and keep that batch on desc
