supersonic/initial guage pressure

1. What is the differnce b/w the total pressure and the supersonic/initial guage pressure?

2. From where I can get the supersonic/initial guage pressure?

Re: supersonic/initial guage pressure

supersonic/initial gauge pressure is only used during initialization to push flow in correct direction. Later it doesn't inlfuence on sollution. Corresponding to the value of this pressure: i usually set in a little bit larger that outlet pressure. For example, if you set outl. stat. press. to 100kPa the initial pressure set 105kPa.

Hi michal,
My inlet is velocity inlet, while outlet is pressure outlet. So, should I put any value in supersonic/initial gauge pressure column..? Or I just leave it empty.

tq.

you can set the value of supersonic/initial gauge pressure the same as your outlet pressure
