Mixing of a passive scalar
I am conducting three-dimensional numerical simulation of a round jet normal to a crossflow. I am using two different turbulence models (standard k-epsilon and DES) and comparing the results of both models with experimental data. Both the jet and crossflow fluids are air with the same density and temperature.
My question is: how to investigate the mixing of a passive scalar, so that I can compare the numerical results of mixture fraction with experimental data. In other words: Should I use a certain model for prediction the mixing of a passive scalar? And how the pre- and post-processing for this model are done in FLUENT?
