Are they advantageous in using true grid over gambit? I'm thinking in terms of grid quality and ease of generation.

well if the mesh won't generate in gambit, you definatly have an advantage in using tgrid to fix it first.

I am guessing Tgrid ( a product made by the same company as fluent) is the same as Truegrid. Not sure.

I had previously looked at TrueGrid when we were having some Gambit "issues". It is a completely different way of building a mesh. It appears to give excellent meshes. ANSYS sells a similar package called ICEM. If you are having problems with Gambit, they are definitely worth a look. I think such generators are particularly good if you use multiple analysis packages and can use a single grid generator for all.
