Hello there,

I recently posted a message reagrding node spacing Vs quality, to which i received a very helpful response. As an additional question, I was wondering if anyone is able explain the following:

I am modelling a small part with some dimesions 0.1mm. When i create the grid in GAMBIT, the nodes seem to be spaced further apart than what my minimal dimensions are in the geometry....

So, does that mean that any geometry smaller than the node spacing would not be accuratly simulated?

Any suggestions or help woule be greatly appreciated,

Many thanks, Gary.

Gary,

Under the "mesh edges" tab there is an option that says "interval count". Try using that option instead of "interval size" and specify how many nodes you want in that small edge, then keep meshing the rest of the edges but maintain uniformity, then mesh faces and then volume.

good luck!
