Hello,

in a fluent course we were told about which combinations of zone types to use and which not to use. They said there are combinations that work better than others. But i´m not sure whether i still got it right. So my question is: if i use a velocity, what do i use for the outgoing material? A pressure outlet or outflow?

Hope you can help.

thanks

sascha

Probably pressure outlet, but it depends on your problem.

Outflow is pretty much only good for pipe flows. It assumes fully developed flows, which is a VERY limiting assumption.

Odds are, the pressure outlet is what you should use.

Hope this helps, and good luck, Jason
