2d and 2ddp

Dear i want to know: (1) The difference bewteen 2d and 2ddp options fluent offers at start. (2) Is there any data lost or mall-functioning if we read the case file of 2d in 2ddp. (3) Are there any limitations regarding 2d and 2ddp if we are solving transonic heat transfer problem in double pipe heat exchanger in turbulance domain.
