post processing

hi,

I am doing 2d simulations of a heat exchanger in FLUENT. In postprocessing, is there any option in fluent that one can display velocity vectors, velocity contours and Strean lines in the same window?

I have searched in the User's guide but i didn't find any information. If anyone has some idea, please let me know. It is really urgent for me, so immediate responses are very much appriciated.

Regards,

Display>scene. Enable overlay button then push apply.

All the entities will appear on the left as you display your contours, vectors or whatever in the window.

Hope i made myself clear

Edi.

Dear i am solving the same problem. but having convergence problems, when i solve the problem using coupled implicit solver.

My case is, 2d axis-symmetric, implicit coupled solver is implied, density is dictated by ideal gas law, domain is transonic, 0.7Mach velocity of hot gases in the inner cylinder. and annulus contains cold gases at 50m/s. Mass inlet and pressure outlet boundary conditions are applied.

Looking for your positive responce

hi Ejaz, if u have convergence problems....try to decrease the relaxation factors, and try to change the discretizing schemes for momentum and energy equations. If u still have problems with convergence.. there must be problem in your geometry...check whether all the faces are connected properly. and give a close look to ur geometry from the beginning. hope u can solve the problem soon.....:)
