Default pump integrated into a loop reactor

i want to do a simulation of a loop reactor which has a gear pump in the circuit. Actually i donīt want to draw a real gear pump but just want to have an element in the circuit that adds a pressure / momentum to the flow. I tried with pressure inlet, velocity inlet ... but always fluent doesnīt allow to have inlets with two adjacent cell zones. So how can i get something that gives a pressure or momentum into a loop?

I'm not sure if this is the best choice (anyone out there with a better suggestion, feel free to correct me), but the only thing that comes to mind is the fan BC.

You'll need to figure out a way of defining the pressure rise across the fan as a function of the velocity through the fan. There's plenty of options though, so you should be able to find one that fits your system. Chapter 7.20 in the manual has some good info, and an example on defining the deltaP vs V.

Hope this helps, and good luck, Jason
