Collect data at every 10 time steps, npt each.

How can I collect data (data sampling for unsteady statistics) at say every 10 time steps in unsteady calculation (LES) to find the mean values of velocities, pressures, etc, intead of every time step in fluent?

Thanks

Anindya

Dear Anindya:

Do you want to sample data is specfic points, every 10 time step?

Hi Mehdi,

I want to sample the data velocity, pressure) along a line to get mean profiles. Also when I get the time averaged data for the whole field, I want to get the average by considering the data every 10 time-steps, instead of each time step. So is it possible to do so?

Thanks for your help.

Dear Anindya:

YES, it is possible. Fist define the lines in surface>line. THen go to solve>monitor>surface. increase the numbber of monitors and select write and plot every interation. Now, in define page select line and appropiate report type. Now, the data is written to a file and you can choose the iterations for example, in excel. But if recommend to define point along the line in the case of defining line for more control on output points.
