Hi, I need help with this problem: A box with an inlet and outlet and a heat source, ke model. I get quite big heat transfer imbalance (report/fluxes/heat transfer imbalance) but all the residuals are less than 1E-06 and in particular the energy residual is less than 2E-08. All the residuals are flat and doesn´t change at all after further thousands of iterations. Is there anybody who knows what is going on with the energy imbalance???? Thanks in advance!

Try and play around with the Cp values. If they are constant,change them to piecewise polynomial and see what happens. Also, check to make sure that your mass balance is satisfied.

Your temperature residual may be high.Try to converge upto 1e-12.

Thanks! You were right. I need to get the residuals to less than 1E-12. And the way to get it is to run the simulation with double precision!
