POINCARE SECTION- Visualization of Flow Structures

I would like to compute a Poincare section in Fluent for a 3D stirred tank, but I don't know exactly how it will work in Fluent. Does anyone have any experience with this approach? I suppose that a high number of particles have to be placed somewhere in the vessel (along a line for instance) and they will cross several times a defined plane (poincare section). For each intersection, the positions of the particles will be recorded. At the end, I can plot the points (intersection points) and see flow structures in this plane. Can I use the multiple reference frame (stead state) or do I have to use a time-dependent model such as moving mesh? The plot of the poincare section will be for a particular residence time or it will consider all residence times? Thanks for any help!

I think you should define the surfaces and then grouping them, page 2078/2501 in userguide file.
