hi,

Fluent manual states that the Eulerian multiphase model in FLUENT allows for the modeling of multiple separate. Does anybody know whether it is possible to define different boundary conditions for each of the phases in Fluent? For example, to simulate a separation process through a sieve, can I no-flux condition for one phase and flux condition for the other?

Many thanks!

Yes, it is. When u define more than one phase you would see the choices, phase 1, phase 2 , mixture etc. You can set different boundary conditions for each phase.

thanks for the response.

I wanted to set porous jump for phase 1 (water) and wall for phase 2 (solid particles). However, under boundary condition, the choices (under Type) available for mixture are interior and wall, while only porous jump BC is available for phase 1 and 2. I don't see any other BC choices for phase 1, phase 2 and mixture.

What do I need to do to have more choices for BCs. How do I tell Fluent that I need to use the wall BC for phase 2 in this case? UDF perhaps?

Thank you very much in advance.
