To all,
I want to know which value for theta should be taken to calculate MidAngle skew in Gambit? In the definition, theta is taken as minimum and for hex, it is written as max. Thanx, Swarup. |

Hi
This is the thing I understood from the manual Mid angle skew is cosine of the minimum angle formed between the bisectors of the element edges (quadrilateral) or faces (hexahedral) For Quads we have only two bisector lines which makes four angles. Out of that take the minimum angle. For Hex's we have three possible ways of getting bisectors.each will have four angles.Take the minimum of the four. This way you will get three angles for three possible bisectors.Take the maximum of the three. I hope I have understood it correct. |
