Extracting data.

Hello all,

I can plot a presuure coefficient over the wall. But does anyone know how can I extract this data from FLUENT so that I can export to excel. I did not monitor the pressure when I am running the simulation.

Thanks.

Sham.

Use the 'Write' option in the XY-PLOT dialog.

Re: Extracting data.

If you go to Plot->X-Y Plots you can "write to file". What I've done before is write a file for the x-coordinate, one for the y-coordinate, and one for the z-coordinate. Then I pull them into the same worksheet within excel. I think you can also export the data as a comma deliminated ASCII file (File->Export) and that should give you the three coordinates as well as any of the variables you select in the list.

This will only work for the current data file (if it's an unsteady solution, you won't be able to get previous time steps unless you saved the data file).

Hope this helps, and good luck, Jason
