oil flow

I would like to know more about the 'oil flow' option within the pathlines panel. Can this be used to simulated a very thin lubricant boundary layer on the inside of a pipe wall?

I cannot do this using the VOF model since the mesh size on the wall must be very very small. The lubricant layer needs to be only a few mm thick.

Re: oil flow

As far as I know that option has nothing to do with numerical modeling or solution techniques but it is just a post processing tip that displays the pathlines constrained to lie on a particular wall, if I'm not wrong...

Cheers

Edi.
