Default Boundary Condition of internal Faces

Which boundary condition do I have to use for an internal face. That means a face which only connect two volumes without any function.

I declared these faces without any boundary condition, but is it right or do I have to take anotherone, e.g. internal or interior ?

Thanks Gernot

hi

use "internal" as BC, but take care, that the face is shared by two volumes. Otherwise Fluent will transform it into a wall.

Refere also to

What happens when I don't define this face. So the internal face has got nothing boundary condition. My computation works with this setup, but I haven't seen the results.

as far as I know, every face that is not defined will be transformed by Fluent into a wall.

Every undefined face AT THE BOUNDARY is set as "wall" by gambit when generating the msh file. When you have a face shared by two volumes is automatically set as "interior" if unspecified, that is: simply no need for inputs from you.
