multiphase model

I have to model the free surface of water in a square cavity whose left and right walls are maintained at fixed temperatures , bottom wall is insulated and the top surface is exposed to atmosphere. Basically I have to ensure that the surface generated is such that the pressure is constant over it. For simplification only convection model is used and laminar, steady flow is considered. Boussinesq model is used for convection. Can you also explain the procedure to use the correct multiphase model?

Thanks in advance

Sumeet

Re: multiphase model

Dear Sumeet:

If you know the free surface level, use symmetry boundary condition for this plane. After solving your model you can examine pressures on this surface and consider for changing the free sirface levels for next solutions. However, if you don,t know the free sufrace, use VOF open channel model.
