Fluent setup to determine fan performance
Hi, my problem is to use fluent to determine a fan charateristic curve (flow rate vs static pressure) for a specific fan (exhuast fan). I have used GAMBIT to create a 1/6th section of the fan, which comprises one blade of the fan... I want to use the unsteady solver/moving mesh options in FLUENT... I also plan to use grid-interfaces between fluid volumes (fan to duct, etc)... how would I set up the problem and boundary conditions to solve for a number of flow rates and determine the static pressure rise in each case.

Hi,
I am also interested in a similar thing. How did you do that srinivasan? Moke |
Re: Fluent setup to determine fan performance
Hi srinivasan, that sounds exactly what I want to do, any pointers??
Moke, how much have you looked into this problem?? Maybe we can offer each other the solution. |
