I encountered myself something like that some time ago when I tried to make a .mpeg file out of an animation calculated previously, the day before. Any attempt was completely useless, so I made the animation "by hand", saving hardcopy files for every frame (360 frames!), using them to make an .avi file with another program. All this took me about 2 and a half hours!
My conclusion was: if I need to make an animation for postprocessing, I have to do it IMMEDIATELY, must not close the program, because re-reading a .cxa file later will be useless. This happened using 6.2.16 version of Fluent, but I don't remember getting this error when I used 6.1.22. Best whishes, Razvan |

Unix/Linux platform or XP? Are you trying to write an animation from a stationary case (pathlines, for example) or from metafiles you previously saved during an unsteady case?

You can open your animation file with the older version 6.1.22.
