CFD VALUES AT EXPERIMENTAL POINT
I need to get my CFD values at the exact experimental values. I am working on stirred tank reactor with a height of 300 mm( Z-axis). I intend to pick my data at 6 levels along the Z axis(at 12.1mm, 46mm, 64mm etc). So, i had to define the x co-ordinate to be from 0 to 0.15 and y co-ordinate from 0 to 0.15.
I defined line/rake surface at each level as follows:
X0 = 0 X1 =0.15(constant throughout) Y0 =0 , Y1 = 0.15(constant throughout) Z0 = 0.0121 Z1 = 0.0121(this varies as i move along the Z-axis depending on the level i want to pick).
But when i extract the values, the x-co-ordinate which is the radial co-ordinate does not conform with my experimental data in which i can get my mean velocities & turbulence quantities.
Can anyone explain on how i can extract my values at the same experimental data point on radial co-ordinate.
Although, I have recieved some advice to create a point surface but this is very tedious. That means I will create 90 point surfaces for one quantity(axial velocity).
I need assitance.

Point Monitors (I guess there is nothing called point surface) are easy to define (just a mouse click or typing the coordinates if you like)
