Hello, Can anyone please tell me how I can create a plane or lines in my domain crossing my airfoil, I wish to list out the velocity and pressure distributions, for example if my longitudinal direction is X and transverse is Y, while Z is vertical, I will like at an X value of say 0.5, give a series of Z values and then get the velocity or pressure etc, how can I do it in fluent is it possible ?

You define your planes (go to Surface->Plane) using a point and a normal vector, or three points, or how ever you want to define the plane (I think a point and a normal vector is the simplest... so your vector would be (0,0,1) so that the plane is in the x-y plane, and your point would be (0,0,x) where x is the Z value for the current plane you want to create). You can then display any of the Fluent properties on this plane (Display->Contours, Vectors, etc.), or export the data using File->Export (you can create an ASCII file of any of the variables you want... just be sure that you're not running in parallel, otherwise you're limited in the options you have for exporting).

Hope this helps, and good luck, Jason
