Grid Size
 

I am A new user in CFD fluent program , Could any one tell me how to know that the grid size created in gambit is correct to make solution converge. Did i have to run fluent or there is a guid for the correct grid size (give me reference if avaliable)

I guess it is first important to recognise that convergence and accuracy are not the same thing.

And so a 'good mesh for convergence' might not be one that necessarily leads to an 'accurate prediction'.

Suggestion - undertake a few sample studies where you gather flow data under specific mesh conditions and then capture the same flow data under different mesh configurations. In the extreme you will see that the results will be/may be influenced by the mesh. i.e. a numerical intrusion. This 'mesh-dependancy' is what you need to loose.

I agree with Mark, Solution may/maynot sensitiv to the mesh. But in all descritization solution depends on mesh 1)size 2) skewness (quality) 3)distribution 4) type The selection of above said depends on the type of problem, accuracy needed, required outcome e.g. turbulent eddies if needed to capture then needs the mesh size should be small than the eddies which are going to form. so on and so..
