Hi, I have a Linux cluster, and I installed VNC for controling the cluster from my XP sation. now I have a problem as Fluent wants to display a typical window (such as residual, contours, etc...) Fluent gives me following message: "error message from graphic function Show_Device_Info: Server doesn't have GLX extension"
When I test fluent without VLC, it runs perfectly Any advices? Thanks mAx |

Yes, the answer is simple
Xvnc features a minimal X Server without any fancy extensions such as RENDER. For purposes of simplicity, the OpenGL standard is not supported. To get around this problem when using Fluent, start fluent with the switch '-driver x11' like this: $ fluent 2d -driver x11 & Of course change the 2d to whatever you use. |
