udf for htc
 
hi dears, can anybody tell me that in fluent we can write the udf for heat transfer or not.....anykind of help is appreciated thanks sandy

Hi,

You can set the htc with DEFINE_HEAT_FLUX macro. See your UDF user's guide.

hi dear, i just wanna to write udf for heat transfer coefficient not for heat flux...i checked udf manual but couldnt find any macro for it will u plz tell me TIA

Hi,

The macro name is DEFINE_HEAT_FLUX but you can specify the htc in the following way.

DEFINE_HEAT_FLUX(sampe, f, t, c0, t0, cid, cir)

{

cid[1] = your htc;

cid[2] = your htc;

}

where cid[1], cid[2], please see the section DEFINE_HEAT_FLUX.
