I am trying to model low temperature boiler. The mesh was successfully written. And when I open 3D Fluent and try to read my .msh file I got this message

WARNING: cell 509862 of thread 2 has NULL face pointer 5.Error: Build_Grid: grid error.

Clearing partially read grid.

Error: Null Domain Pointer

Error Object: ()

Please can anyone explain to me what does it mean and where the problem is ??

Thanks in advance !

Yes and I got the same..

Building...

grid, Error: Null Domain Pointer

Error Object: ()

I meshed the geometry of my boiler twice. Everything seems to be OK. Gambit exported mesh without errors ! I don't know what else to do !!

i have already had this problem....but i thought it was just a ascii/binary format error.... Is it a windows or unix fluent version ? Did you try to read th msh file with tgrid ? Did you check the mesh with gambit ? (skewness, aspect ratio...)

It is because of error in mesh.

I had the same problem till today. For me solution was to use Gmesh to export mesh in Nastran Bulk Data File.

Then fluent was able to load mesh.
