Default Heat exchanger

I'm Andrea from Italy.

I have to simulate a heat exchanger. A simple example: 2 different flows (1 at 1000K and the other at 300k). They are divided by a solid, thikness 5 mm. I mesh fluid regions (2) and solid region (1). When I simulate, no heat exchange between cold and hot. Hot flow at 1000K, cold flow at 300K and solid at 700K (but no convection visible!). I'm wrong (I think) in the shell conduction and in the wall properties. Someone could help me? Some tutorials available for understading the problem??

Thx Andrea

i think it's an unsteady modle. and you donot need to bulid a solid region. you could set a wall between two fluid regions. then in fluent you could set the thinkness of the wall. maybe it helps.

No, I can't use fluent for this example. I have a winged heat exchanger. What do I have to do?
