Micromixing particle tracking

Hey everyone, I am trying to simulate mixing in microchannels by viewing the particle tracks in Fluent 6.2. I have read through all the tutorials on how to define the injection points etc.. When I run the simulation, it says that all the particles are either lost, or run incomplete. Is this because my mesh isn't fine enough or is there something obvious I'm missing because I am just too new to the program? Thanks for your time. ~Geoff

Re: Micromixing particle tracking

I don't think your mesh size is a problem. Incomplete simply means that you're not tracking the particles long enough for them to leave your domain. Try increasing the the "Maximum number of steps" under the "Tracking" tab of the "Discrete Phase Panel" (see section 33.3.11).

Are the lost particles tracked at all? or are they lost at injection? If its the latter and your injecting at a wall boundary then try moving your injection away from the boundary slightly. I have also had problems before with lost particles when reloading case file but have not yet found the cause.

Hope this helps

I would like, if you can, tell me that you introduced two different fluids in two entries had!
if you do the experiment, please help me in this area.

thanks
