Floating point & segmentation error NIGHTMARE

Hi all!

I have a PIII 800MHz, 512Mb SD-RAM 133 with a Nvidia GeForce2 GTS graphic card and WinXP Pro as OS. When I try to display ANY grid of ANY case I load into Fluent I get:

Error: Floating point error: divide by zero Error Object:()

And If I go to Options in the menu Display and click on Open, in "Graphics Window" palette I get:

Error: FLUENT recieved a fatal signal (SEGMENTATION ERROR)

I have read other posts with the similar problem and I've followed all the advices:

*Start Fluent with -driver msw *Reinstall latest drivers of graphic card (71.89 in my case) *Create new environmental HOOPS_PICTURE variable in windows, with the value = msw/win

This is very frustating. Can anyone help me, plis?

Hi, It may come due to one of the following; 1) your msh file is not written properly rewrite the msh file 2) Check the mesh size 3) if possible try to run on CPUs Dont hesitate to write back
