Dynamic Temperature Boundary Condition

I have a velocity-inlet boundary condition at a face in a 2D mesh and am trying to dynamically update the temperature boundary condition on a face. This face lies inside an outer fluid domain and I have to assign the same value of temperature in the velocity-inlet boundary condition as that of the fluid elements entering the face from neighbouring cells (Cells lying in the outer fluid domain). Since this face lies on the boundary of interior domain I cannot access the neighbouring cells below it (of the outer bigger domain) using THREAD_T1(tf) macros in my UDF. Any ideas as to how I can assign the same temperature as that of the cells below the face as the b.c. I would be grateful if someone can help..
