controling fluent process

Hi

is there any process to run a fluent process uninterrupted in the background. i mean if i have logged in one user id, and i am running fluent simulation, is it possible that i can logout with out the fluent process is being killed. i am running fluent on a Linux machine. i have tried 'nohup' command...but it does not help

thanks in advance

Re: controling fluent process

you can use the screen command and then start fluent using the -g (no GUI) option. Then you can detach from screen using Ctrl+A+D. You can logoff and when you log in as same user, type the screen -r to reattach to your simulation.

hope this helps
