about P4 dural core CPU

Default about P4 dural core CPU

does anybody has experience on this kind CPU for Fluent? Can it gain much improvement?

Usually dual cores give you at least, I repeat at least 25-40% increase in performance over serial CPUs. You mileage may vary. Remember to run parallel fluent whenever you use a dual core machine.

Hi

It depends upon the schemes being used, and of course, the CPU. Its only AMD dual core CPU, which is dual core in actual practice, and not of Intel. Intel dual core processor uses same L1 and L2 caches, so if the matrix size, or your mesh size is big, or you are using dependent matrices, which are non-sparse, then this may help, else you won't find any appreciable change.
