Porous Media
I am trying to model flow through porous media. I have done a lab experiment to obtain data; dP vs Vel. I then use the Darcy-Forchheimer relationship to obtain a second order equation from my data. But, the second order equation has a constant term; C+Bx+Ax^2. I don't know what to do with the C term. I then try the power law to obtain the coefficients A and B; dP=A(V)^B. But, Fluent keeps giving me an error; Floating Point error; invalid number, when I use them. I also don't understand how to relate the power law coefficients to the viscous and inertia terms. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks. I have been using the Fluent Manual section 17.9 |
Re: Porous Media
If I multiply my Power Law coefficients by 1000 Fluent will work. I am using KPa for my pressure and m/s for my velocity
