backward facing step
hi all; I am planning to make a simple air flow simulation with a backward facing step geometry (included friction) and searching a done experimental or numerical work (with Fluent) where I can compare my results . I would like to know if any of you already worked with such a geometry? Thanks in advance

Re: backward facing step
Hi Erni,
I just completed my thesis on the Kline-fogleman airfoil (Diamond wing with backward facing step on the windward surface) - so I have some experience with this type of geometry. I can also advise to look on the www.fluentusers.com - I remeber seeing a tutorial on there for a BFS case. Cheers, Riaan |
kline fogleman 2 from naca 23015
hi,
i am currently doing my project on kline fogleman type 2 (with top step) made from a standard naca 23015. i would like to know the fluent settings for the particular profile. my velocity is about 36 m/s. pls its very very urgent.... |
erni, could u pls provide me with ur case and data files for the Backward Step
airfoil.. my email is smab@in.com |
