Hi all, I'm somehow lost in understanding the concepts of dynamic meshing techniques. Could someone please give me some examples of rigid body motion compared to deforming motion and user defined motions? For example I don't know if I use a user defined motion for a zone, then the dynamic remeshing/smooting is also applicable or not. Thanks in advance.

hi,
1. in dynamic meshing udf is needed only for rigid body motion. 2. depending what kind of mesh u r using u activate any or all the dynamic-meshing algorithms. u gotta see user's manual which one helps ur problem best. 3. a zone is deforming bcoz of rigid body motion of some other/same zone as it moves along. so accordingly u activate which zones are deforming. u dont udf for them. they deformation is force/pressure based. |
