Has anybody got any experience with meshing a centrifugal impeller in 3D? i've heard that meshing the 3D model can be tricky and that it's best to mesh 2D and then project it mesh linked.

any helpful hints????

hi i am working on the centrifugal impeller. At this stage, i am working on meshing volume I actually modelled goemetry in solidworks2004 and imported file in gambit as IGS file. Then i created a virtual volume in gambit. And then i run in fluent. Due to complexity of shape of impeller, i think its quite hard to model in gambit unless you use turbo option. Hoe this helps.
