error reading mesh in partitioning mode

Hi!

I have generated a 3d mesh, that can be loaded in fluent very well, when I use ONE licence.

Now, I am using TWO licences (partitioning the geometry), and Fluent returns an error: "node segmentation violation" or something like that… were is the problem?

Any suggestions??

Ralf

partly solved the problem

I have partly solved the problem:

first I read the mesh in one licens mode. Then I do a few iterations and save. Then I start Fluent again in 2 licence mode and load the cas and dat file... no error...

But I dont understand why...

Re: partly solved the problem

I've had problems with the periodic boundary condition that I have to read the mesh into a single processor machine (I usually use fluent 3d -post, because I have other jobs running while I set the next one up), and then I can setup my case (I usually set the partitions now, so that I don't have to wait for the "auto-partition" which seems to take longer) and save it... once I have an actual .cas file, I can read the setup case onto multiple processors and run it. I never got a sufficient explaination, but it has to do with the way Fluent goes from a .msh file to a partitionable case. Have you tried saving the case without actually iterating? Might save a little time...

Hope this helps, Jason
